So … what is so revolutionary about this chip?
I guess there’s been a lot of hype over the idea that Cell is designed to distribute tasks over a network.
Since multi-core processors and distributed computing are hardly new, I don’t think there’s anything truly “revolutionary” about Cell. We’re just seeing the natural progression of these technologies into the consumer space.
