What IS It With Idiot Guys And Dick Pix?

Honestly, this sounds like weak post hoc rationalization.

I think people object for both reasons. However, how much the victim did wrong is not generally mentioned in such stories, because it’s never relevant. In fact, the idea that the victim might have deserved it in some way would be shouted down very quickly, in most cases.

Having an affair is not automatically wrong, in my opinion. And it’s not something that we, as a society, have considered a punishable offence for quite some time. Can you really imagine a lot of people on this board deciding that a man who willingly received a nude photo from a woman he knew to be married had any kind of justification in publishing that picture because she was doing something “wrong”? He would be cast as a misogynist arsehole who decides his own views on female sexual morality trump her right to privacy.

I’m pretty sure that is the biggest reason.

Whether they did or didn’t do anything wrong is irrelevant. If he did something illegal, she can go to the police. If posting pictures of ex-lovers is illegal then it is regardless of what the person may have done to her.

Is it? Always? What if your spouse agrees or is indifferent? Is it illegal?

Why is it their bloody business? Is it their business if the married couple do something kinky in their bedroom, too? Some people would want to know that as well. Should they?

It is relevant if it becomes relevant. Otherwise, people should keep their noses out of other people’s business.

Of course, perhaps if the gentleman in question had made the effort to bring himself to tumescence before snapping the pic his lady friend would have more impressed and less squiked out.

Hell hath no fury like a woman squirmed.

I should point out (to no one in particular, but some might have missed it) that he lost his job as a professor at the Naval War College, not from the NSA. I don’t see any reason to assume there are any security issues involved.

Which is hilarious. IN GENERAL, men are far, FAR more obsessed with dick size than women are.

The real shame about these typical dick pics? Holy shit, they are horrible, photography-wise. Put some goddamn effort into these pics, guys. Ah, I see you just pulled down your track pants and snapped a pic in front of your dusty cluttered coffee table. Or in the bathroom with toilet fully visible. HAWT.

That’s why the “Critique My Dick Pic” site is amazing (NSFW, obviously, so it’s in a spoiler box):

http://critiquemydickpic.tumblr.com/ Focus is on the photos; the dick itself (appearance, size, whatever) doesn’t factor into the critique/grade.

Ignorance fought!

Guys take their own dick pics? Dick selfies? Huh. I’ve always been happy with the results from the Sears Portrait Studio. Never enough wallets, but hey.

Well, kayaker, there’s your problem. That’s why you’ve not had success with your dix pixs. You were supposed to go to Glamour Shots and use the special coupon code. The one next to Victoria’s Secret. You didn’t know they had a common door in the third fitting room on the left? I thought everyone knew that.

No lie, I was gonna reply recommending Glamour Shots! You could use some great props/accessories to class it up, like a feather boa or bangle bracelets.

I don’t see that it’s that naive.

e.g. I recently posted a picture on social media of my 6-pack that I was proud to show off, having only recently achieved.
I took the photo down after about 30 mins, figuring it was pretty lame posting a picture of one’s own body part. But still, 3 girls initiated conversations with me about that photo, all 3 resulting in a date.

If you like that body part, why not that body part? Especially since the latter that more clearly associates to masculinity and sex.

Well, that association is precisely why dick pics (of the random or unsolicited kind) aren’t appreciated by me. Abs aren’t a sex organ but can be sexually attractive. A snapshot of a dick abandons any subtlety and feels, quite honestly, aggressive.

And proudly so.

It’s not at all. It’s arrogant to assume there aren’t both women and men out there who like pictures of dicks.

Well, you’ve obviously never seen a pic of my dick.

Flounces off with my subtle, passive penis

This. And even if it’s not your own. And even if they know it’s not your own.

That ran stateside with the headline “…and the picture is his penis.” Which, if you think about it, is really weird.
