What is Naprapathy?

I saw in a chiropracters office, in addition to having a degree in Chiropractic, he attended the College of Naprapathy in Chicago.

What is this? From the Wikipedia article it looks like just a fancy chiropractic thing.

I was thinking Nephrology (kidney diseases and blood pressure disorders) but your idea seems much more likely for a Chiropracter.

The Czech word “naprapravit” (to correct) and the Greek word “pathos” (suffering) combine to form the word Naprapathy. The Naprapathic treatment method “corrects suffering” through manual manipulation of inelastic connective tissue which may be irritating the nervous system and causing pain.

I know a Naprapath and he, at least, would never claim this.

I’ve also gotten naprapathic treatments and they’re like a combination chiropractic/massage therapy treatment. I find the treatment useful for back pain, though I don’t have to pay for my treatments, so I feel pretty good afterwards.
