What is our policy?

Israel’s stated policy is that if they are attacked by biological/chemical weapons they will retaliate with nuclear weapons. What is our policy?

Without the smoking gun, yet, I think it is fairly clear that we are under some sort of biological attack. Should we respond with nuclear weapons? There wouldn’t be anything to hit in Afghanistan but what I’m hearing and sensing is that Iraq has their hands in this mess. When we know with certainty who the perpetrators are, and to prevent more serious attacks, do we have a right to respond with nuclear weapons? Should we? What if these idiots introduce the Plague (which still exists in India) in a North American city? We could have millions of deaths here in the US.

With letters sent to high profiles like Tom Daschle, Tom Brokaw, and Microsoft, and the fact that these letters are coming from various places (throwing out the lone nut hypothesis), we are dealing with something pretty dangerous here.

Who, exactly, would we nuke? Last time I checked, terrorists have been hiding out in various countries, including America. They are not associated with any official govenment and are not centered in one place.

Despite different geographic locations, we can’t throw out the lone nut theory. You don’t think that all of the Unibombers packages came adressed from his cabin in the woods, do ya?

What, you mean like Albuquerque maybe?

Come on, Mambo, seriously. Who do you nuke? If we are ever (officially) at war with a nation, and that nation uses C/B/N against us, then this might be a matter of more resonable discussion. But against a terrorist camp? What’s the point to nuking a dozen quonsets wher a cruise missile will serve just as well?

Ah yes, New Mexico home of the flea and land of the plague.
