I’m sure it’s just a typo or something, but my wife is really curious if it’s an actual word, so I agreed to ask. We saw it when looking up a description for one of the shows in Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim line up.
I tried looking it up in our dictionary, and on online dictionarys, but come up with nothing, so I’m sure it doesn’t mean anything, but if it does, please let me know so I can tell my wife. Thanks.
::checks which forum this is. Oh good::
Looks like a typo to me. “Psycho-”, of course, is “of or pertaining to the mind.” “-lahom”, er, doesn’t ring any bells.
Could you give us the context of the quote? We could offer a WAG as to what the writer meant to say.
I’m guessing typo too. No search engines yield any results. Well, it appears to be a Greek word (from the “psycho-” prefix) but AFAIK “-lahom” is not Greek. In Greek, there aren’t too many intervocalic 'h’s so I’m guessing that’s where the typo is.
Actually, my wife figured out that it must have been the name of the episode, but was curious if it was a real word. But It’s obvious that it isn’t. Thanks for trying anyway though.
