What is sitting atop your refrigerator right now?

My spare car keys.
A flashlight.

Basically, things I want to be able to find quickly and easily in an emergency.

A pizza peel.
Le Creuset dutch oven.
A box of Food Saver bag rolls.

A small stereo system that plays AM news radio in the morning (so we can hear the headlines and the weather) and CDs in the evening while I make dinner. It’s plugged into speakers we had mounted in the kitchen walls.

A box of Kleenex.

A small wicker basket with nothing in it.

A metal banana stand (that thing you can hang your bananas from). We rarely eat bananas these days, so it got moved up there.

Three two-liter bottles of water.
Several little bags of toasted almonds.
A can of Spam I smuggled in.
A spray bottle of Windex.
A spray can of sun screen and another of foot powder.
My weekly pill box.

Ehh, at least I crack myself up. :o

A large platter, a large bowl and approximately eleventy kajillion takeout/delivery menus.

Two teak wood serving trays. Clean.

Uh, dust? I honestly didn’t know people stored stuff up there.

Microwave oven.
(The fridge is only about 5’ high - it’s quite usable.)

I lol’d.

Which fridge?

One of them has a vintage “Shoot the Moon” game from the 50’s. Another has various vet meds and junk, and a third has a shit-load of guns.

They are all very dirty. Filthy household, here.

Two cats. Because the puppy can’t get there.

A back scratcher, three flyswatters, a KZAP ‘Cafe Rock’ fishing lure, several empty egg cartons, and a large (18" x 3000’) spool of plastic wrap.

Recycling: some soda cans, beer bottles, a bottle of Rumchata, a jar of honey, and some other miscellaneous stuff.

My beer fridge in the garage has an old microwave and water-cooling tower on it.

Same here. For the longest time, I had an unopened box of glasses sitting up there, but the cabinet above the fridge was empty, so there’s where the glasses live now.

Oh, on occasion, one of our cats might be up there, but rarely.

A jar of dog treats, two canners, a stockpot, an apple peeler, and a box of Frosted Flakes.

Upstairs fridge: a cute homemade basket with garlic in it.

Downstairs fridge: three empty growlers.

Mancave beer mini fridge: a bar drain mat and assorted beer glasses.

A machete and a S&W 6" Model 686 loaded with snake shot.

I thought I was the only one whose cat liked to climb on top of the fridge. Apparently little miss is not as unique as she and I thought she was. She goes up because her brother can’t (he’s very uncoordinated for a cat). She does tend to go on up from the fridge to the top of the top cabinet and goes to sleep up there. I keep saying I need to get up there somehow and clean up the cat hair which must be several inches deep by now.

Same here, except my fridge is about 6’ high and it’s a bit inconvenient. It’s the only place there’s room for it though.

Also an extra fridge shelf, a three liter bag in box of apples juice from apples I helped pick, the receiver unit for the door bell, a birthday card and maybe some other junk.
