What is sitting atop your refrigerator right now?

Three boxed of cereal, and a bag with my daily medications.

A box of Kleenex and 2 insulated lunch bags. Boring!

Except for the espresso pot, all of this stuff. And a wok.

A bottle of gin, a bottle of Deep Eddy grapefruit vodka, two bottles of Juicy Juice, an empty cookie tin, and three jars of my mom’s preserves.

A cabinet filled with things my lesser-statured wife would never need on her own. Pyrex baking dishes, a Yogotherm, a huge enameled steel pot for boiling wort or steaming tamales, and I just checked to see what else and realized that I lied.

I will live with the lie.

But, still stuff shortie won’t need like corn husks (for said tamales), bulk unground spices (I will grind and fill separate containers as needed), bulk pepper sauces, bulk sucralose and xanthan gum and other goodies, dried hibiscus (jamaica), dried chiles, and stuff she otherwise doesn’t use but that I want close at hand.

A ginormous dried, empty gourd that you can put over your head, with a huge “nose” and two holes to see through.

A 100-ice-cube tray that I bought in Seville, Spain.

An assortment of powders for diet drinks.

A toaster that we never use.

Nothing.

We did remodel the kitchen 5 years ago.

The cabinets go all the way to the ceiling. That helps a LOT. Used to store all kinds of exposed crap between the top of the cabinets and the ceiling.

There is a cabinet above the fridge, but it’s not a build in fridge. So there is about 18"s of the top of the fridge before the cabinet.

The only thing in the cabinet above the fridge is a coffee maker that we have for guests.

Two 24-packs of water bottles. Three 6-packs of V8 cans

Bunches of probably stale snack foods like Cheetos, and what have you. Some foil cooking pans because when I need 1 I have to buy 3. A Fanny Farmer Cookbook, paperback, worn to death (always a quick reference for temps. etc.)

My Wok hangs from a ceiling hook above the fridge.
My set of large bamboo steamers
My set of small bamboo steamers
My Chinese clay pot
Wicker basket with chip bags

Burma shave

Wooden basket with a bag of potatoes.
Plastic container of white flour.
Bowl of onions and garlic.

A small (1 ft by 1 ft by 8 inch) cooler. On top of that is a 2 gallon water jug*
A 3/4 full syrup bottle (I ran a pancake breakfast)
Many (>20) egg crates. My sister has chickens – I keep meaning to bring them to her

Microwave oven. There is no where else in my kitchen to put it. Counter space sadly lacking.

Assorted dog cookies and treats, because anything edible needs to be above human eye level or the dogs will self serve.

Extra box of Tetley Tea. I suppose it could go in the pantry, but like so many other things, I haven’t gotten around to moving it.

Soda stream soda maker. Again, nowhere else for it to go.

Bag o peanuts for the next ballpark trip

empty lunchbox

A ziploc with these nasty corn-syrup coated pecan halves that a little old lady customer of mine imagines I like

Unrelated question: anyone know how long soy sauce stays good? Worcestershire?
