Mexican, hell, it’s barely food.
Edible != sustenance.

I’ve never seen one. Where are they?
I admit I enjoy the disgusting ‘restaurant’ known as Taco Bell. But I don’t eat there anymore because even though it hasn’t made me ill yet, more than a few of my friends have become ill from it. I am just afraid to eat there. I’d rather make my own burritos with the Taco Bell seasoning crap you can get at the store.
Down here you’ll find some of the most incredible restaurants serving Mexican, Tex-Mex, regional dishes from the Mexican interior. Spanish and Cuban even.
It’s to die for.
Yet, I also love Taco Bell. It’s just different. Never got the runs either.
Although my take on food is unlike most. It’s like how I feel about film.
Schindler’s List is superb and I love Porky’s. The wider your spectrum of enjoyment, the less bored you’ll be in life.
I ate three times at a chain restaurant. The service sucked, the cleanliness was sub standard, and the prices expensive. The last time I ordered a bacon cheeseburger fries and malt. The malt came out and the waitress says “Here’s your shake.” I said “I ordered a malt.” Her “They’re the same thing.” Me “No they’re not.” Fifteen minutes later they bring out the cold food, the malt is now milk. The cold burger had refrigerated cold liquid cheese poured on the meat and puddled on the plate. and one paper thin piece of bacon. What the f##k is this shit. There are definitely restaurants that deserve their bad reputations. A bacon cheese burger is not ever made by pouring liquid cheese sauce on it. I can guess what the cheese fries would have been. Pourable cheese sauce with their two inch fry slivers floating in it. Literally shoestring potato snacks are bigger than the fries.
#1: Who sells malts anymore? (Sonic maybe?)
#2: What’s that got to do with Taco Bell?
Serious. I don’t think I’ve ever gone to a Taco Barf, ordered a Burrito Supreme & three crunchy tacos and not come away satisfied. I loves me some TB.
Considering where I’ve lived almost all my life, why go to a Taco Bell? There are plenty of better restaurants, even fast-food restaurants, that are completely local and much better. Real Mexican or New Mexican food.
Both places suck!
And while we’re at it, what’s so funny 'bout peace, love, and understanding?
p.s. I don’t like Taco Bell, but that’s just personal preference. In general I’m just not a fan of lame Mexican-ish low-quality food.
They’re not open at 1:30AM on Friday night. Taco Bell is.
You see the odd one tacked on to the side of a KFC like a colostomy bag. There is (or was maybe. now that I think about it it may have closed) one in Westfields at Parramatta and Roselands I think. The one and only time I tried the Parramatta one you had the option of all sorts of different mix and match meal deals (one taco, one piece of chicken and fries etc).
Well here is a part of a job ad at YUM!:
Today, Taco Bell has over 7,500 Restaurants worldwide. In 1998, the first Australian Taco Bell opened at Roselands in Sydney. Now, there is a total of 8 Taco Bell Restaurants in Sydney with expansion plans underway for more.
I’d congratulate you on your powers of description, but I’m laughing too hard!
I wonder if they’re actually still around? There don’t seem to be any listed in the on-line Telstra directory, although there are lots of Taco Bills in Melbourne.
I like Taco Bell. Good Mexican it ain’t, but it’s still yummy IMHO. I usually snag some before teaching, and one Monday night couldn’t wait for the class to leave before playing a trouser oboe solo.
Making out simple meat, cheeses, and sauces to be harmless is like making out a bag of potato chips to be harmless. As with anyone who’s worked in the fast food industry and paid close attention to labels and such, I can tell you that taco bell more than likely laces their meat and sauces with chemicals and animal parts not fit to be in food. A few years back Taco Bell got caught using a genetically modified corn in their tortillas that was supposed to be removed from consumer food. They end up feeding it to our cows now, but I suppose it’s a step in the right direction. Back on subject!
This doesn’t mean that you can’t eat it, your body is so used to MSG, hydrogenated oil, high fructose corn syrup, and cow brains/fecies that it’s no change from the norm. The people who complain of problems from eating it are probably the same people thinking that the burger joints are poisonous and then outraged to find that taco joints are the same way.
Taco Bell is no worse than McDonalds or that really cheap steak that you find in your meat section of the supermarket. Google some of the fun ingredients I just listed or do some research on the meat used in fast food some time when you feel like learning more. You won’t look at fast food the same again.
On the bright side of things, I love plain old soft tacos with 3 fire sauce packets each.
Clarify?
I don’t know, I get nauseated whenever I smell it though. Then again, I get nauseated whenever I smell McDonalds. It’s all gross.
I like Taco Bell. I frequently eat their food. I judge it by the same standards I judge Wendys or Burger King - it’s good junk food.
