What is "Sweater weather"?

Chilly enough that you will want more than a shirt to be outside for any length of time, but not cold enough that you will need an actual jacket. For me, that’d be around 55-65 degrees F.

The forecaster probably made things more confusing than he needed to by mentioning both “sweater weather” and “jacket weather” on the same day.

See, to me, that’s the definition of what a jacket is for. If it’s cold, then I wear a coat. A jacket is light weight, a coat is heavier.
