I’m watching T20 blast cricket on WatchEspn. I barely know the rules of cricket, although I’m getting better and have some understanding of the game.
Is there something different about blast cricket? Or, is that just the name associated with this tournament?
Also, since it looks like this entire tournament is being broadcast on WatchEspn as well as available on demand, are there any particular teams I should watch for?
The T20 blast is the name of the tournament,as mentioned above. It’s fairly lengthy for a british T20 tournament - the final is on September 2nd.
As for teams, they are the county teams (as you’ve probably noticed). I follow Somerset, but it’s my closest team, and at this stage you’re probably as well off picking a team from those that are topping the group, or staying neutral.
I prefer test matches myself, but then I’m used to following 5 days of it without having to hear about every ball. If you want to sit down and watch a game, the T20 is not a bad way of doing it.
There’s a thread about the England/South Africa series, if you get into that.
An abomination unto the Lord, dreamed up by some marketing types to make a quick buck. Hopefully the novelty will wear off soon , but the Aussie player strike fills me with horror.
