If she never became famous, how well off would she be today?
Her father was a financial advisor; her mother worked in marketing at a mutual fund before leaving that job to be a homemaker. She attended both private and public schools.
The family relocated to Nashville when she was 14, so she could pursue a career in music, though that entailed her father getting a job in Nashville with Merrill Lynch. So, my guess would be that they were solidly middle-class, to upper-middle-class, but probably not “rich.”
If she hadn’t made it in the music business, it’s impossible to say what she’d be doing today (or how well-off she’d be today), since she’s been pursuing that career since she was a teenager.
It looks like her family was “comfortable.” Here’s her childhood home in Pennsylvania (the family actually rented that house while Taylor went to private school.) When she was a teenager and wanted to go to Nashville to pursue her career, her father managed get transfered there. He sold the family’s $2.4 million “vacation house” in New Jersey and bought a nice house in a not-fabulously-rich Nashville suburb.
If she weren’t famous, she’d be working for a living.
I heard that she was a careless man’s careful daughter.
She definitely has musical ability. She probably would be teaching music, and singing on the weekends at joints and dives.
( unless Romeo actually showed up)
Since this is a non-factual question about a celebrity, let’s move it to Cafe Society.
