140 posts and I can’t believe nobody’s invoked the song “Drugs” by Talking Heads. From their 1979 album Fear of Music. Great song, by the way. The weird electronic sound effects by Brian Eno on that song must be heard to be believed.

I’d like to put in another vote for “Sweet Leaf.”
Back in my younger, wilder days, a friend of mine made the assertation that “Sweet Leaf” is the perfect drug somg because the length of the song is exactly the amount of time it takes to smoke a joint. Then he proceeded to prove it to me. Repeatedly.
No matter what size the joint or how many people were sharing it, always if we sparked it up at the same time as the coughing bit at the beginning of the song, it would have to be roached just as the song ended, due to the imminent danger of someone burning their lips.
I love that song…
