I’m a huge Queen fan, and “'39” is one of my favorite songs. The song’s official title, as listed on the A Night at the Opera album, and on the band’s YouTube page, is just that, with no other characters or words. So, it definitely belongs here in this thread.

Like I said in one of the other threads I have been keeping a list of ideas for these threads. My list for numerals/symbols was “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper”, “9 To 5”, and “88 Lines About 44 Women”, but those have already been used. Now I’m out of ideas. I may have to sit this one out.

Question: Are 99 Luftballons and 99 Red Balloons considered the same song? Both titles have been nominated.

No, wait, I’ve got some:

36-24-36 - The Violent Femmes
1812 Overture - Tchaikovsky

99 Luftballons is in German; 99 Red Balloons is in English. I’d say they count separately.

“Heroes” by David Bowie. The quotation marks are part of the title, though that’s usually ignored when the song is discussed. They’re intended to show that the title is ironic, that the lovers in the song are imagining themselves to be far more heroic than they actually are.

Just wanted to say congrats for even thinking of that.

1 of my favorite songs:

The title starts with a numeral, but also has a comma and a pair of parentheses!
