What is the best song that begins with a numeral or a symbol? See rules in OP

Rules:

  • OK, let’s get this one out of the way. Your submissions must begin with a punctuation mark, a character, or a numeral.

  • Note that, if the title spells out the number (i.e. “Seven Nation Army”), it is ineligible for this poll. The S poll is where this example would belong.

  • Submissions are limited to 5 per person.

  • Exclude articles such as “a”, “an”, “the”, etc. that begin the title.

  • You must include the artist (not the composer, unless they are the same person) or your submission will not be counted.

  • Polls will appear in this thread once we reach 100 or 150 nominations, depending on when we hit a wall. Maybe 50 in this poll.

  • Final poll, also in this thread, will narrow the field to 10.

Paul Simon-50 Ways to Leave Your Lover
Chicago-25 or 6 to 4

7, Prince
3AM, Matchbox 20
99 Red Balloons, Nena
The 1, Taylor Swift

32 Footsteps–They Might Be Giants
212–Azealia Banks (I’m not a fan, but it’s listed on Rolling Stones’s Top 100 Songs of the 2010s, so it’s good to get something recent in here)
525,600 minutes, by the cast of Rent (is that how to list the artist here? Not sure). I wonder if this’ll win for the largest number.
2 Be Loved, Lizzo
And of course, nothing’s as good as 4’33, John Cage

5:15 - The Who
1234 - Feist

50 Mission Cap - The Tragically Hip
867-5309 / Jenny - Tommy Tutone
2112 - Rush
19th Nervous Breakdown - Rolling Stones
21 Guns - Green Day

(I Just Wanna Be) Your Steve McQueen – Eytan Mirsky

96 Tears - ? and the Mysterians, although I prefer the cover by the Stranglers

I was going to do the ? and the Mysterians song. Missed it by that much. So instead…

157 Riverside Avenue - REO Speedwagon

  1. Gloria Estefan

'39, Queen

2000 Light Years From Home - The Rolling Stones

(Don’t Fear) the Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult

19 - Paul Hardcastle

Since I got dinged on this earlier:

(Sittin’ on) The Dock of the Bay - Otis Redding

1999 - Prince

The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin’ Groovy) - Simon and Garfunkel

100 Years - Five for Fighting

98.6 – Keith

9 to 5 - Dolly Parton

88 Lines About 44 Women - The Nails

(Our Love) Don’t Throw It All Away - Bee Gees

I came in here just to say that one.

(though I’ve also seen it listed as “In the Year of '39”, which would presumably be under “I”).

2-4-6-8 Motorway – Tom Robinson Band
20th Century Man – Kinks
