what is the caloric intake when i ingest parts of my own body?

I mean, I bite my cuticles, the inside of my mouth

I don’t know what happened there…and I cannot edit my post…
what I was asking was what caloric intake would possibly be to ie bite your lips, chew your fingernails and chew up your mouth ( that habit is worth a thread by itself, maybe not HERE but for something…
So, can I snack on myself or not? thoughts…s

When ingesting parts of your own body, caloric intake will always be negative. After all, you cannot gain overall energy from something that was already part of your body. Digestion, as in all reactions, has a certain amount of energy loss in conversion (1 gram of eaten flesh does not mean 1 gram of gained flesh). Exact numbers would depend on both the person and what they were eating.
