What is the color of this woman's shoe?

What is the most accurate description of the color of this shoe?

I know it’s some kind of purple, but what shade of purple should it be called? Any suggestions appreciated!

This is fully lit.

This (below) is probably the most accurate representation of the way it looks in normal room light.

I guess I’d call it grape (if you wanted a specific shade of purple)from the first picture, but the second picture seems to show it with a pinkish sheen - is that due to the lighting or the shoe itself?

How about Grape, Amethyst, or Heliotrope?

In the second pic, maybe Eggplant?

Seconding and thirding grape

I’d say it’s lilac though if I were naming it for a catalog I’d call it something like “Purple Haze” or “Electric Hyacinth”

Thanks to all for the assist.

I’m looking at this shades of purple chart, and is just does not seem to be any of these purples.

Fouthing or fifthing grape. If comparing to the names of shades of other women’s clothing that’s the best suggestion.

Puce.

plum

midnight purple
deep purple

And here I always thought puce was green.
Guess it’s too much like ‘puke’. :stuck_out_tongue:

+1 for the dark grape nominations.

or violet

Aubergine

Here’s a Flickr page for the color aubergine, which was the first thing that came to my mind.

Grape seems to work, too.

Fourthing Aubergine, that’s the first colour that came to my mind.

Not sierra indigo?

Aubergine looks like the best overall choice.

Whatevering grape.

Also, Wuthering Heights.

Deep fuchsia

Naw, Indigo tends to have more of a blueish hue to it, even in the Sierras
