What is the Highest Ratio of Like:Dislike In A YouTube Video You've Seen?

Hello all!

So I was wondering what the highest ratio of like:dislike you’ve seen in a YouTube video.

I ask because even of the top six most liked videos don’t get that impressive of ratios:

1) Justin Bieber, Baby ft. Ludacris
.48:1 (Obviously a terrible ratio but it’s admittedly skewed from the irrational amounts of hate Justin receives)

2) Party Rock Anthem
32.4:1 (Pretty good)

3) Eminem - Not Afraid
37.6:1

4) Eminem - Love The Way You Lie
31.7:1

5) Charlie bit my finger, again!
7.6:1

6) Evolution of Dance11.8:1
As you can see, only three of the top six most liked videos hit impressive marks. Same goes for six most top viewed of all time, considering there is some overlap.

Obviously an absurdly high ratio would be very simple for homemade videos where all the uploader’s friends like the video, so let’s set the mark at 2,000+ total ratings

So here are my submissions, some of them are just barely over the 2,000 ratings marks, others are well above it:

1) Harry Chapin - Cat’s in the Cradle
65.8:1

2) Jon Lajoie - Everyday Normal Guy 2
64.6:1

3) Jon Lajoie - Everyday Normal Crew
42.5:1 (even though it’s the worst of the series)

4) JibJab.com - This Land
41.1:1

5) Invisible Tetris
41:1

A couple of my favorites:

Maru the cat - 54.3:1 - Interestingly, Google translate tells me the title of this video is actually “Hitler - Internet Censorship”

Eddie Izzard - Death Star Canteen (Lego version) - 41.5:1

Oh man, cat videos could get ridiculously high ratios, completely forgot about all the random cat videos out there.

Ponycraft 2 - 59.3:1 with 14,289 ratings.

Meet the Medic - 97.4:1 with 69,149 ratings.

Meet the Spy - 134.1:1 with 6,755 ratings.

Knowing your audience apparently helps.

Your Meet The Spy link didn’t work.

And my Meet The Spy video didn’t have such a ratio. That’s what I get for saving the high quality version that was leaked instead of the official version. :stuck_out_tongue:

It must have cloaked. Spy check! Meet the Spy - YouTube

Journey - Separate Ways (Worlds Apart): 124.5:1 out of 13,053 ratings

I feel like almost all of the videos I look at – even though they’re not that highly rated – are really popular with only a few dislikes. But then maybe when it’s lesser known ones, only fans are watching.

Maybe so, but the MLP mashup I linked to has over a million views, and “Meet the Medic” has over 7 million. They’ve been watched a lot.

Parov Stelar - Catgroove (TSC - Forsythe): 119:1 with almost 44,000 ratings.

It’s not quite what the OP is looking for, but special mention goes to the Neutral Response clip from Futurama. Near-perfect 1:1 ratio.

That’s awesome! I love Futurama and have no feelings one way or the other about the Neutral Planet.

I’m stupid: I divide what by what to get the ratio?

You take the likes and divide by dislikes.

I think I’m winning with .446:1 with Friday

Ok, I think I beat myself.

0.08981:1 with My Jeans

Ouch

Only .617 for the Insane Clown Posse’s Miracles. I’m surprised!

Cat gets caught barking by a human and resumes meowing - 128.5:1 with 7,978,936 views.

Active Child - I’m in Your Church at Night - 211:1 with 59,618 views. (422 likes, 2 dislikes)

Active Child - Wilderness - 254:1 with 53,067 views. (254 likes, 1 dislike)

I think the winner of this is going to be some unbelievably adorable animal video, or an obscure-ish music video, where only devoted fans are watching and scoring it.

Wow, that second Active Child video is going to be hard to beat.

For a high ratio in a more popular video, how about Aperture Science Investment Opportunity #1, a Portal trailer by Valve? With 1.2 million views, 6,361 likes and 27 dislikes, for a ratio (if my math is correct) of 233 : 1.

Ooh! Wait, here’s one that’s even higher than the Active Child video. Another Portal 2 trailer, Repulsion Gel, with 446K views, 2,690 likes and 8 dislikes, giving it a ratio of 336.3 : 1! Yowsa.

I couldn’t help it. I had to unbalance it.
