What is the largest (non suburban) US City without Public Transit

I was trying to Google this and I keep finding Arlington Texas as the largest city in the United States w/o public transit. While Arlington is a big city, currently it is the 50th largest, it really is a suburb of Dallas (or Dallas/Fort Worth if you like)

So does anyone know what the largest NON suburban city to lack public transit?

There isn’t any distinction to be made in the Dallas/Fort Worth/Arlington/Plano/Irving area. They all run together into one gigantic metroplex that is 50 or maybe 60 miles across. That is the problem with artificial boundaries and they are all one sprawling city.

This type of thing may complicate your analysis because supposed city boundaries found on the internet really aren’t.

How do you define public transit? Government operated trains/buses/trams/ferries? Government-subsidised but privately operated? Fully privatised services?

What about taxis?
