I went with 70 which is the most I’ve logged as actual hours of actual work – IE, involvement with a task.
Technically I could have said 148. My boss wanted me to do a road trip that I really really REALLY didn’t want to do and that I could have refused under my contract. The compromise was that I got credit in comp time for basically 24 hour days ------ or do that week and get two free vacation weeks. But my time on task that week was more like 60-65 hours.
For two weeks earlier this year I was starting two companies. One was a consulting business where I was afraid to turn down work and the other a distillery. I was working 4 hr days getting the distillery going since I could pawn off work on my partners and 12 hr days on the consulting company. On the weekends it would switch 8 and 8 since the companies I was consulting for had lower expectations on the weekends. After two weeks I ended up quitting one of the companies I was consulting with and I haven’t gone past 12 hr days since but it’s still 7 days a week.
