My grandmother has a music box with the same song. When I used to stay the night over there, I would play it over and over again. I love the song. Now I’ve never seen the Godfather but they have a new Godfather game out and they play that song in the background. I can’t find it anywhere. I know that on the Godfather soundtrack, its the closer theme. Any ideas??
The music you are thinking of is Nino Rota’s “Love Theme from The Godfather”. It’s not the opening theme, that’s a little different.
The song is also known as Speak Softly Love.
