What is the name of those yip guys on Sesame Street? And don’t just say “the yip guys” unless that’s the answer!

I think they were the “men from mars”. They were hillarious!
My copy of Sesame Street: Unpaved lists them as “the Martians”. To quote the book, they were “‘yip-yipped’ by Jim Henson, Jerry Nelson, and Martin Robinson.”

My God, I’d forgotten how cool they are.
I thought I saw a reference to them as “bucket-mouths”, but maybe it was a description of my own making. I also thought they were pretty cool.
And the way they could hide behind their lower jaw when scared…priceless.
