What is the one thing you are most knowledgable about?

Packaging components of wine.

Cork - different grades, natural vs. synthetic, screw caps, etc.
Labels - embossing, foiling, stock, and the legal requirements of wine labels
Bottles - shapes, colors, finishes, and so on.
Capsules, wax, and a bunch of other misc. info surrounding the manufacturing process of an average case of wine.

Do freakin’ tell. I’m making another case of pear-wine as we speak. I`m sort of interested in the legal requirements of the labels. I bottle, cork, and label all my own stuff. What exactly is your job?
Please and thanks.

My expertise? Probably pipe bending. Comes with being an electrician.

Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.

Stress shift in various dialects of Dakota.

The 1978 Iron Pig.

Civilization II.

Songbooks from the 60s-current. Especially pricing. The thrill has waned on that hobby so my expertise might be slipping.

Hockey

Not the stats and players (although I can hold my own there). I’m talking about actually knowing the game. From offensive and defensive theory to bench management to goaltending technical analysis.
I’ll tell you right now that most talking heads don’t know shi* about what they are talking about, when it comes to this stuff.

as many have said, a true expert could probably give me a run for my money, but:

packaging and transportation of compressed gases

telecom facility construction and fiber optic construction

the history of weapons technology

military engineering

From another my thread - my job, summarized -

As for legal requirements of home produced wine, there are none, as long as you do not sell it. At all.

If you are considering selling your wine, you’ve got a lot of reading (and paperwork) to do. Start here.

If you have some general questions, I can try to answer them. I make no promises, though.

I design, make and sell what are called ‘Wow cards’. They’re called Wow Cards because when people see them, they say ‘Wow!’. They are just playing cards folded into weird and sometimes impossible looking shapes. This isn’t an ad (honest, Mods) but anyone interested can see examples on my website. I’m the only person in the world who makes them, although other puzzle fiends make similar items. Some of my designs are ones which literally only I know how to make and fold. I know more about these things than I want to. Each design is the result of weeks of experimentation and prototypes, and the ins and outs of every single fold are etched deep into my head.

With the possible exception of Mike Oldfield himself, I think I know more about his first three albums than anyone else (Tubular Bells, Hergest Ridge, Ommadawn). They were the soundtrack to my teenage years, and every single nuance of every note on all three albums is burned into my brain to an unhealthy and unwanted degree.

Desk-top publishing in Ventura. At one stage I used this application so much, so often, that I knew it inside out and every which way. I even knew more about it than the tech support guys. Shame it kinda died out and lost to Pagemaker.
