Why does there have to be an opposite?
Originally the opposite of Fire was Air, but ever since the Second Edition, I think, it’s been Water.

The opposite would be the reaction going the other way, CO2 + energy -> C + O2. I don’t know if there’s a pithy name for that, since it’s not the typical reaction direction.
