Actually in the southern US the word cock is also used for the female genitalia. Often when someone is called a cocksucker the reply is “yeah, SOUTHERN COCKSUCKER!”.

Nope, he’s telling you true. It wasn’t unusual, at least in the 1800s and first half of the 20th century in Black English and Southern US English for some users to use cock for cunt, vulva, etc.
