What is the Republican Party actively doing to discourage racism in their party?

Much as I have seen the role of science eroded in the public mind, and superstitious nonsense promoted to a virtual state religion, I have also seen a retreat from the ideal of “where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”

It is a disturbing trend that should be addressed by the people in power.

The trouble is that if you hold a mirror up to a mob of irrational, angry, deluded people, they won’t like what they see, and are liable to tear you limb from limb and stomp up and down on the bits.

Okay, to deal with the side issue, the Democrats have dealt with racism by nominating a black Presidential candidate and a substantial number of other black candidates.

So let’s get back to the OP’s question, what are the Republicans doing to discourage racism in their party?

How about appointing a couple of black Secretaries of State for starters.

I’ll be more impressed with minority representation at the GOP convention. Last one the cameras seemed to pan across the same handful for the duration.

There’s also the issue of their public face vs the face they show behind closed doors.
