Sadly there is a wacko conspiracy theory in Indonesia, hopefully not believed by very many people, that Americans deliberately caused the earthquake that unleashed the December 2004 tsunami by detonating an underwater atomic bomb. The region that suffered the worst destruction, Aceh, has long been known as home to a fair bit of Islamic fundamentalism, and that is supposed to be the reason.
It is really heart-breaking that people could be so ignorant on any level - scientific, social, political - as to believe such nonsense. But it is difficult to overestimate human stupidity.
If you want the real thing, google the following. I won’t provide links, for the same reason I wouldn’t try to explain Timecube.
The Montauk Project.
Ong’s Hat.
Denver International Airport NWO
Dulce Branton
Stephen King John Lennon
These are sufficiently strange and obscure that, as far as I can tell, only the Dulce one has been referenced in this thread.
No doubt that’s because of the New World Order’s efficient distribution of their troops by way of the reflective markers on the back of highway signs.
Oh, did I forget to list that one?
Conspiracy 58. The 1958 FIFA World Cup in Sweden didn’t really take place, but was a staged event. The theory was originally a Swedish “mockumentary” trying to educate the viewers on the stupidity of conspiracy theories. Later it grew a life of its own, and is now apparently a seriously believe theory.
That site is one big whoosh, right?
RIGHT??
What is the point of that site? That the Mannequin Pis, the Giant Atom, Brussels, etc. don’t exist, and that we’re just led to believe that they do? Or is it that those things exist, but not in the place that we think is Belgium, but instead in some province of France that we’re led to believe is an independent nation called Belgium?
BTW, the Mannequin Pis is real - I’ve held my hand in his “urine” stream.
I knew a woman who claimed that police commit most crimes and then frame innocent people for them.
Her evidence, Tawana Brawley, OJ Simpson (Fuhrman killed Nicole & Ron) and her jailed husband.
I live about 12 miles from where the Koreshan Hollow-Earth folk created their utopian community. It’s now a state historic site. It has one of the coolest artifacts ever: a concave globe with a map of the earth on the inside. It opens like a clamshell so you can see the map.
Back in 6th or 7th grade my friend and his friend (not quite mutual) read a book* that convinced him that FEMA was storing nuclear weapons and planning to overthrow the government/all governments of the world and declare a unified NWO under them. You know those little yellow stickers with arrows you see sometimes on the back of stop signs and traffic light poles? Yeah, if you follow them you find their secret bases. And they flew black or blue painted silent helicopters and spy on people, apparently one of the worst offenses is reading that book. Then at night they either snipe you through your window, break into your house and kill you, or blackbag you.
I saw the book jacket and cover so I’m pretty sure there’s at least a book titled whatever they said it was, but I’m still not entirely certain they weren’t fucking with me, they are really good actors if they were though, they seemed to believe it.
*Supposedly by an ex-FEMA member, I think it was called Blue Skies, Black Helicopters or something.
