There is a thread in the BBQ entitled “The Third Jihad-recommended viewing” .
I can’t view the video and neither the author nor any of the other posters are willing to tell me what is meant by the term.
Can you help me?

First time I ran across this phrase was via a muddled essay by one Larry Abraham that came filtering out of the internet in 2004. We did a thread on it here. The link in that old thread is broken, unsurprisingly, but I found the text reproduced here. As I mentioned in that thread it takes some kernels of truth, some chunks of historical inaccuracies and blends them with a heaping dollop of paranoid conspiracy theory to posit a “Third Jihad” ( the first being defined as the early Arab conquests, the second apparently by the rise of the Ottomans ) designed to overwhelm the west. They very notion of “Wahhabi Shi’ites” being the real howler in that piece.
I have no idea if that is what is being promulgated in that video ( which no, I haven’t watched ).
Haven’t watched The Third Jihad (yet), have heard of it. Not a big fan of the Islamization of Europe & I would fear if US society actually showed signs of capitulating to an influx of isolationist Muslim immigrants here, but I don’t think that will happen.
I did pop in to say that Larry Abraham was the co-author of the John Birch Society classic 1970 pulp-book NONE DARE CALL IT CONSPIRACY with Gary Allen. I did a little Googling & I’m sure it’s the same Larry Abraham. He passed away in 2008.
Huh. Very interesting Friar Ted - that makes a certain amount of sense. Thanks for the information.
The New And Improved version of the Second Jihad?
Jihad was a classic of its genre. Really very good. Second Jihad wasn’t horrible, but was exactly the sort of cliched, derivative stuff you typically find in a sequel. In Third Jihad they aren’t even trying anymore. It’s horrible, just milking the franchise and pissing all over the memory of the original.
“It was the Third Jihad,
another Iraqi desert day.
I was out shootin’ Shi’ites
When the muezzin called out to pray…”
– Bobby Bourgeois
So it’s The Matrix with robes, turbans and burquas?
And scimitars. Don’t forget the scimitars.
Personally speaking, I have no idea what — if anything — the Third Jihad might be.
As for the work in question, besides an utter waste of thirty minutes or so, the best description I can come up with is The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, with turbans instead of fedoras and beards instead of earlocks, but with every bit as much historical accuracy (i.e., none whatsoever).
Lots and lots of scimitars.
Sure, you’d think “Wahhabi Shi’ites” would be a logical impossibility, but that’s just what they want you to think. That’s some of that taqiyya or takfir or *tamarind * or what have you.
