Not a working one
Out of a selection of first drafts, this is one of the four that did not become Prince’s glyph.
By the same token, it’s a failed early draft of the Pillsbury Doughboy.
It looks vaguely like an old fashioned costume mask.
Could it be lupus?
OK, here’s what I see.
Maybe not in a boat, maybe cooking?
Below the ‘paddle’ it looks like a long, hooked nose. Below that is a smiling mouth, and below that maybe a stylised beard. In the middle of the image, an ear appears to be on each side of the head. Or perhaps it’s hair. Surmounting all is a hair-do or a hat.
But why there’s a paddle sticking in its eye is beyond me.
I’m pretty sure it’s a rorschach blot, but I’m not qualified to assess what “a paddle sticking in its eye” could possibly be all about.
Kokopelli riding an alligator?
Maybe it’s a tumor?
The Flying Spaghetti Monster?
Id’s nard a too-muh
Is this the book that has “Without You” in it? I tried finding the book when UYI came out and had no luck. How is it?
It’s a mermaid riding a seahorse…obviously!
It’s ***never ***lupus.
I blew it up and printed a copy. When I rotate it, the top and the bottom both have similar features. To me they both look a little bit like very stylized and bowlegged ice skaters legs. (I’m sure some of you have seen the portrait of the parson ice skating. It brought that to mind for some reason. But the middle secion is all smushed together. That made me think of those drawings that can be one thing when you look at it one way and another when you look at it upside down.
It’s either that or a drunken rogue elephant playing bean bag with a dead chicken on a string.
Come on. You know you can see it.
I’d say a bat, with flippers, hurling.
Awesome book, “Without You” is pretty corny and nothing like the video though
Birdshit or splattered bug on a car window, horizon in the background, turned 90°.
snerk
You said ‘nard’.
