It’s been identified as a striped or armed anemone that has been flipped over and bleached. What looks like a mouth is the base.

Every time I’ve seen an article asking if something is an alien, it turns out the answer is “no”.
Disappointing, that.
Pretty often, it’s some dead animal that has become unrecognizable due to being partly decomposed.
Either that, or a diseased animal. Coyotes that are hairless due to Demodicosis come up pretty often.
I’ve found that the answer to many newspaper headline titles with a question mark is usually a no.
