What is this film technique?

My spouse wants to know if there is a name for a film technique he days is used in Simon Pegg’s Cornetto films. He describes it as a series of quick clips that show a process, like loading a gun or making coffee.

I have only passing interest in the movies so I can’t provide a link to the example but I’m girl certain I’ve seen it.

An analysis of Edgar Wright’s visualcomedy.

Thanks. Very illuminating. I’m going to have to have another look at Edgar Wright movies.

Some of the best camera work ever done was in Army of Darkness. Fast cut scene

The films “Snatch” and “Requiem for a Dream,” also.

Dig up and watch all 15 episodes of spaced. Seriously the funniest series ever.

It is one of his signatures. Also, in the Cornetto films, they’re usually accompanied with foreshadowing that describes what’s about to happen, only it’s cleverly hidden in what sounds like normal dialogue.

I was going to offer “snap-cutting” but I may have just made that up.
