A friend just texted me this asking what it is. (Found in South Carolina.) No indication of scale. It doesn’t seem to match possum or raccoon. Ideas?

Those grooved teeth might help with identification.
Yeah, just got another angle (and scale.) deer seems clear.
But the question remains what killed our dear deer friend, were there signs of a struggle, any semen recovered from the scene?
