What Is Wrong With My Hardwood floor?

I have a small area in the family room, which because of its location, has a lot of scratches and wear. There is no need to re varnish the entire floor, so I sanded the damaged area, cleaned it with solvent, and then applied a coat of urethane floor varnish. It loked great-till it died-I now have lots of little white spots under the varnish. What is going wrong?

Usually that means moisture trapped underneath.

Might try to redo it, making sure that the surface has completely dried after whatever cleaning you did. The fine print on the packaging of whatever you used should give times.

NoClueBoy has a clue this time. It’s moisture.
