early porcelain toilets were designed that way. There was a vent ported directly to the bowl. before that I’ve seen outhouses that had venturis built into them to draw out air from the seat area. you would need a breeze to make it work but the design existed.
You can mcguyver one. Just install a wall intake vent and an in line duct fan up in the attic set to pull from that intake. At least the stench would be pulled sideways and putting the actual electrical part above you protects it from splashing.
