What is your favorite Mexican dinner?

Plenty of ‘Berto’s knockoffs, though.

We had Casa Bonita in Little Rock. They had several other locations. There is one remaining in Lakewood Colorado.

Anytime my family came to Little Rock (shopping trips or doctor appointments) we ate at Casa Bonita. They had a wonderful all you can eat special. IIRC it included two enchiladas, refried beans and a Taco. There was a flag on the table that could be raised for refills.

The restaurant lasted in Little Rock from the late 1960’s until late 90’s. It sold in the early 80’s and went downhill. The original family bought it back and tried to revive the restaurant. But never lured back the customers.

By then Little Rock had many Mexican immigrants that opened more authentic restaurants.

Yes, they are in South Orange County, at least as far north as Lake Forest.

I’ve nothing against a traditional San Diego Carne Asada burrito. They are fantastic. And I also like the Baja style fish tacos and burritos. But my preference is always old-school LA Sonora-style. A Burrito Colorado (shredded beef, beans and cheese, served wet with a side of rice and beans on a plate too hot to touch, and I’m satisfied.
