What is your ongoing opinion of the Affordable Care Act? (Title Edited)

Well, you’re the expert on 'wrong", so who am I to question.

It’s working. It’s working better than expected. And you bend over backwards to bleat doom and bold proclamations of dread.

So I guess my question is answered. No conservatives, as yet, having been shown they are wrong, are willing to admit to it.

You’re kidding, right? You’re entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts. Care to provide any cites for your ridiculous statements?

By the way, the Republicans appointed the current head of the OMB.

CBO. And I did not question the deficit estimates, assuming the law is implemented as written.

Should Republicans be required to offer offsets for the increase in the deficit if they repeal it?

What the Republicans should actually do is keep the Medicare savings which Democrats say are just waste.

Could you elaborate on that point? Because it sounds confused. Please use numbers.

The decision is probably coming on Monday, and in the latest example of people losing their shit over tea leaves, Bagley asks whether the Court may have tipped its hand on Monday.

The answer? No, probably not.

No idea if its coming Monday June 22, or the following Monday June 29. So far those are the only non-argument dates (when they normally release opinions) remaining on the Court’s calendar. But the court might add another date to the calendar to release opinions.

There was speculation last Thursday about an inside source hinting that Thursday was the day. It wasn’t.

Gather around your computers around 10am EDT on Monday to find out. Due to the procedures for how an opinion is released, SCOTUSblog’s live chat *might *have the decisions a few moments before it is posted on the Court’s website.

Now what are the odds that at least one major live news report jumps the gun and botches the reporting like they did with the Individual Mandate case?

$500 billion comes from Medicare savings over the first ten years. The Republicans should keep that, since Democrats say it doesn’t affect beneficiaries. Then repealing ACA saves hundreds of billions of dollars.

Well, that certainly settles that! Dummy Obama!

That Republican replacement health care bill is coming out any day now, right?

Mud and leeches. Also, prayer.

Don’t forget the bloodletting.

Subsidies upheld. 6-3 vote. Chief Justice Roberts writes for the Court.

Big win for Obama. It was 6-3 with Kennedy and Roberts siding with the Liberals.

It’s been suggested that we should start calling it Scotus Care instead of Obama Care.

Scalia’s dissent has (as per normal) some of the best lines. “We should start calling this law SCOTUScare.”

[This interpretation] “is of course quite absurd, and the Court’s 21 pages of explanation make it no less so.”

Roberts gets his own dig in the majority opinion: “The Affordable Care Act contains more than a few examples of inartful drafting.”

That’s the sound of thousands of conservative heads exploding.

It takes 4 to grant cert, but only 3 voted the Fuck Obama line. Which one of the majority voted to hear this silliness just to watch Scalia get apoplectic (again)?

“The Court’s next bit of interpretive jiggery-pokery…”

“Pure applesauce,"
