Some people would rather pay for preventive services out of pocket so their premiums can be lower. Others don’t need maternity care. These were political decisions, not medical decisions.
And who am I? Who is Kathleen Sebelius? A career politician.

Did you read Gigobuster’s post? Maybe the Washington Post doesn’t want to find anyone.
Read what I posted again. Then read what **Gigobuster **posted. Then realize your mistake.
Sounds to me like she’s in favor of prenatal care.
From the Washington Post blog cite:
I think the Post was mostly pulling the legs of some people. Again, as USA Today reported:
It’s true that it won’t matter in the long run. what matters is participation. Something that did not matter in the case of Medicare Part D. It’s no skin off the government’s back if people dont’ want prescription drug coverage. But if young people don’t sign up on the exchanges, what’s Plan B?
Your mistake is to miss what Media Matters reported, FOX and others are cherry picking.
What I posted was from WaPo. Not from Fox. What they are saying is that they cannot find anyone who purchased health coverage on the federal exchange. Do you think they are lying? Maybe you can point them to such a person.
Once again, Iffinitis. Fines will increase for the ones that can pay for insurance but refuse to do so.
Why do you think that when I said “others” I was not referring to WaPo **blog **too?
Once again, there is no lie on a cherry pick, a cherry pick exists to allow the picker to make a very misleading point. As reported before: it would be illogical to see such levels of interest and that that will not lead to many more people eventually getting coverage with the state exchanges or the Federal one once the glitches are fixed.
Bottom line, this line of attack is still based on ignorance and selectively looking at the federal exchanges and not the other states were the exchanges are working more effectively.
I would have thought you’d have learned your lesson about pulling predictions out of your ass here.
Laughable diversionary non-sequitor. Why not just tell people you don’t want poor people to get health insurance because that’s how you really feel? Who do you think you’re convincing here with your rhetoric? The fact is that the GOP is blocking health care for poor people because of their hatred of Obama and their love of making rich people pay less. There really is no other layers or motivations going on here. And you’ve either fallen for their schtick or believe in that yourself. Even the majority of Iraqis would be ashamed of how these rich people are so greedy
It always works on the rubes in the Tea Party bubble; it must come as a shock to him to find the thinking world is less susceptible to his propaganda.
Whether you sign up today or next month, it doesn’t take effect until Jan 1st.
Probably a lot of folks doing what I’m doing…absorbing the wide variety of previously unavailable options and taking some time to make an informed choice.

I just used the New York State estimator I downloaded last week and someone making 20K a year would be able to buy a Bronze level plan for $26.97 per month plus an additional $9 a month per minor child. Doesn’t seem that onerous to me.
Most of the whining seems to originate from the obstructionist states and I’m not going to blame Obama fro problems related to the obstructionism.
My site is still asking the user to wait, and when it does come up, it tends to glitch, freeze or send an error message to try again. Of course, I am in Texas and our Governor does not want the site to run well, so I hope I am able to get on later in the week.
Yes, I am in Maryland. My governor is all gung-ho about Obamacare. The site is one big “glitch”.
Washington state site was rough for two days but seems to be running fine now. I won’t qualify but wife is shopping for the best plan and will sign up.
Finally got to price check Obamacare, although I’m not eligible as my employer offers insurance.
Currently, I pay $351.46 a month, or $4217.52 a year.
I can get a ‘silver plan’ for $7530. I would qualify for a 12% subsidy of $936, bringing my annual price down to $6594, or $549 a month. This is about $200 dollars a month more that what I pay now.
The ‘bronze plan’ is $4214 a year or $351 a month, exactly what I pay now until the subsidy is subtracted. The plan would then be $3709, or 309 a month.
Seems like not that big a deal, right?
But what is most interesting is that the price I pay now for insurance is not the whole cost of my coverage. My employer picks up the rest, like most employers do. The cost of my insurance is actually $17,124.82 a year.
So where did all the money go? What happened to that other $13,000?
I timed out on the gold an platinum plans. I really want to see what those prices are like.
Yeah, it isn’t likely a good deal if you have decent insurance from an employer. But for someone that doesn’t, it is a huge difference.
