What is your primary method of TV delivery?

Haven’t had TV in since 2011, every time I am in a hotel or somewhere else that has a TV, and I start channel surfing I am more convinced this was right decision.

The combination of the overwhelming amount of crap on TV and the fact if there is something good it seems like 50% adverts. The former I am fairly sure has got worse since I “cut the cable” and the latter seems to have but could be I’ve just lost my tolerance for adverts.

Same. I chose “other”. Still have youtube prem and Netflix for the rest of the fam tho so it’s a mix.

Cable, it’s included in the rent here along with internet and TiVo and landline if you need it

Antenna. As my apartment is partly below ground and surrounded by taller buildings, I get about one fifth the channels that a friend with an antenna gets. Still, you cannot beat the price.

We have cable, though “traditional” doesn’t seem like the right word because it’s fiber optic and our package includes high speed internet (275 mbps) and DVR. We watch a lot of TV in the rainy months but we DVR everything we watch except football and soccer. We have low tolerance for commercials but don’t mind fast forwarding them! We also have Netflix and Prime, which we pay separately for but are able to watch through our cable subscription. We’re planning to move to empty desert, Arizona in the next couple of years and we’re already mentally preparing ourselves for the drop in entertainment options! But, at least there we can go outside all year

Yeah, I do have Disney+ and I probably should get Netflix too, but for now it’s online streaming from our local Australian networks (only for one or two shows, as not all stream live) and a very large hefty chunk of Other.

Have you been to Arizona in the summertime?

I’ve been streaming only for at least ten years. When I’m at a hotel and flip through the channels, I can’t imagine ever going back. Crappy shows, reality shows and commercials - yuck.

YoutubeTV, Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime. When thinking about consolidating, it would result in losing specific shows that we watch.

I’m one of the rare antenna people – I get the major networks (two NBC channels – which is good because one has Jeopardy! ) plus a bunch of sub-channels (H&I, Me TV, CW, Laff, et al)
I also have Netflix and Disney + (which I probably should have dropped) and have watched YouTube (mostly the Tour de France NBC daily recap) on my TV (a lot more youtube on my computer – but that is mostly short videos)

Prime, Netflix & Hulu. Some “Other” if there’s something specific but those three meet most of my wife’s television grazing needs. We have a $5/mth sub to Locast for any live TV wants and needs.

It’s pretty much my only method. My Internet service provider does not offer a television service so my TV fix is provided by streaming services.

I use Dish mostly, with Netflix and Acorn second and third, and I’m canceling Acorn now that the Murdoch Mysteries has jumped the shark. I don’t have enough time to watch TV to use a lot of streaming. Most of what we watch has been DVRed previously so we can skip ads, including pausing it for a while as we do something else.

We had cable for many years. Mountains and antennas don’t mix, so there are few who only have antennas.

When our DVR box for the cable provider got fried, we decided to switch to the streaming service with the phone company. Earlier this year we finally signed up with Netflix.

Mostly streaming such as Netflix, et al. With very few exceptions, there is almost nothing on network channels that is worth watching, IMO. I detest game and reality shows, which seems to be most of the programming; likewise football.

I’m mostly an “other” as well. I’ve had a Netflix account since like 2006 or so and have Amazon Prime but the bulk comes to me in alternate ways. Which is nice because I really HATE commercials.

I haven’t had functional broadcast TV for years—I’ve got it all setup but it’s just not working and honestly, I haven’t cared enough to spend any significant time investigating. The majority of what I watch is torrented (that word that people are trying not to use), but Netflix and (distant last place) Apple TV+ are catching up.

We stream and antenna. More stuff than we could ever watch even with the Covid lockdown.

Cable (FiOS) here – I pay for all of the channels, plus HBO and Showtime. I also have an Apple TV. I’m a big TV watcher. Of course these days I’m watching more streaming than cable, but I still watch sitcom reruns most weeknights, I still binge-watch HGTV some weekends, and every now and then a new episode of something like Supernatural, Fargo, or Selling The Big Easy shows up on my TiVo.

The question makes it sounds like “intravenous drip” could be an option.

It’s purely streaming for me. Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Apple, etc. It might be optimal to cut a few of them loose but honestly it isn’t a huge financial burden and the convenience outweighs the cost.

I can’t remember when last we had something like Cable or Satellite. It must be at least a decade ago. I cannot watch anything with commercials anymore. It’s just too obnoxious. Especially when the commercials are so tonally garish compared to the show. The one exception is Penn and Teller’s Fool Us, where the show itself is a similar level of garishness and the commercial breaks neatly dovetail the acts.
