I’ll have to find the cite tomorrow, as it’s at work, but US public school teachers hired in the last decade have a shockingly high churn rate, especially in urban schools. Especially especially in not-well-to-do urban schools. IIRC more than half of those hired in the last ten years quit before they’ve been at it for five years. That’s not so bad compared to hospitality and service, but depressing compared to historic rates.
