What kind of birds are these?

Anybody recognize the birds in this Youtube video?

Chickadees?

I see some similarity to chickadees but not that vertical stripe on the breast. These guys look a bit larger too.

Those are House Sparrows, sometimes called English Sparrows.

Black throated gray warbler?

Hmmm…I see similarities in both the Sparrow and Warbler. This is a tough one. They flit around so fast it’s hard to get a good look at any of them, even when I pause the video.

Great tits (yes, this is the right thread.)

Ha ha! I love it! It sure does look like the right bird too. Looks like they’re all over Europe and Asia. That’s why I can’t find any in my North American field guide. Boy, am I ever gonna have fun with this one!

I think grat tits has it.

They do look like black cap chickadees, but they’re a bit too long and skinny.

Yes, they are Great Tits. One of the better bird names.

There also are Blue Tits, as in this classic illustration of Blue Tits in Winter.

Here’s a picture of a pair of Brown Boobies. (SFW)

That would be a good guess, aside from the almost complete lack of resemblance to the birds in the video.

I see both species travel in pairs.

Definitely Parus major in the video there. Lovely birds, and if you’re interested in tits, you’ll be pleased to know that there are a large number for your observation and pleasure, including: Sombre, Elegant, Japanese and Varied.

Tits, Shags and Boobies are my favourite birds. Definitely my favourites.

It looks sort of like the titpecker.

Thanks for keeping us abreast of that.
