I found a copy of an old Mari Wilson song on YouTube called “Just what I’ve always wanted,” and there is a line in there where she says,
‘A tune from Tenney, an Ashworth snap
These are the landmarks on my map’
I looked up ashworth and it appears to be a line of clothes, so what kind of clothing is a “snap”
I believe the song is referring to a photograph (“snap”) by a photographer named Ashworth, not an item of clothing.
I’m not familiar with the song, but a snap-brim fedora is sometimes called a snap.

I think romansperson is right, and she’s referring to a photograph.
I love this song! We bought the LP (yep, vinyl) when it first came out, and I think I played her killer version of “Cry Me A River” on my very first radio show. No one can wear a beehive like Mari! (but she looks very cool without it too)
