What kind of hat did Granny ('Beverly Hillbillies') wear?

And hot water soup!

Elly May, though her critters may give my allergies grief. Elly May might beat out Bailey Quarters and Mary Ann in my mind. Now THAT’S a fuck-marry-kill conundrum! Mary Anne can cook some, though. . .

Let’s add Fraulein Helga, Col Klink’s secretary during the 1st season, to that list.

And Wrangler Jane! :o

The vastly underappreciated Sue Ann Langdon, as she appeared in an episode of McHale’s Navy:

“No Sherman tank was ever built like that!” :o

And Dee Dee’s Dehydrificated Mason Dixon Chicken Dinner!

Greet, surely.

Elly May in a heartbeat. She’s adorable. Lisa Douglas is just annoying. I never could get into that show–I never liked any of the characters. I probably actually know some Elly May types.

Watteau: A broad-brimmed shepherdess hat, worn tilted forward to keep the sun off her face?

Who am I to argue with “The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York”, but in the auction picture they don’t look like anything Watteau painted, or like a shepherdess hat, and I don’t see the link with a Watteau dress or style.

I’d call Grannies hat a bonnet, because it reminds me of a scotch bonnet. Functionally it seems more like a fascinator. We don’t use the term Sunday-go-meeting here, but I can’t think of any other purpose for that hat.
