VeryCoolSpouse and I (parents of 3 adopted kids, with maybe 1 more on the say) have recently been raving (negatively) about prospective parents who “disrupt” their adoptions. That is, parents who have said they will adopt, and then change their minds.
VeryCoolSpouse posted, to one of the (other big Web site) adoption groups, a sarcastic article–an adopted child, fictional, wishing to disrupt her adoption because her adoptive parents are fat and stupid (they can’t even speak a normal language, for cripes sake).
It reeks of Jonathan Swift, but I don’t know what to call it. What is it?
