This “International Order for Gorillas” t-shirt was one of several weird ones worn by Val Kilmer in Real Genius. I bought one a few years ago, as there are a lot of “retro t-shirt” sites which sell the design.
I think the first thing I ever won from a phone in concert was a WDHF (long defunct Chicago radio station) Screaming Yellow t-shirt. Can’t find any image on-line. Won it by being the nth caller using a dial wall phone in the early 70s. For whatever crazy reason it is a fond memory.
Not a logo as such, but in 1980 I had a shirt that read
I Was There When Mount Saint Helens Made an Ash of Itself
Which was close to the truth: I lived (still do) about 60 miles from the mountain as the guttersnipe flies, and the eruption woke me up. Shirt got a fair amount of attention on the bus in LA.
There was a bar/restaurant where I used to live that was quite good. And the service was fantastic. The owner new to hire enough competent servers. He’s a county commisioner now.
The slogan was “Eric’s. Because everywhere else just sucks”
Frog Hollow Day Camp
Always thought it looked home made.
Reported to have been a summer camp in Michigan during the 50’s and 60’s.
I’m actually thinking about getting the [Money Access Center] MAC shirt: I went to college near Philly from '89-'93, and we were all about tapping MAC!
I shopped at Crazy Eddie. Have lived in NYC and the surrounding environs since 1981.
I’d wear that !
