Absolutely a $3000 Windows machine is a luxury machine. You can get a completely functional Windows machine for 1/10th that price.

Really, none of that stuff (with the possible exception of the luxury car) is really a luxury at all. Just because one can’t afford something doesn’t mean that it’s a luxury; it just means you don’t have enough money.

Well, it’s not a necessity. I don’t have clean water that comes out of the tap. It’s not a big deal- I just boil my water before I drink it. But it sure would be nice to be able to just fill up my cup from the tap.

I’ve going to vote for washing machine and dryer. I’ve lived without meaningful running water. I’ve lived without electricity. You get used to it quick and it’s not a big deal. But washing your clothes by hand sucks. It sucks more than using pit latrines or reading by candle light. And the damp mildew smell that line dried clothes get in all but the driest weather is disgusting.

I disagree. The Hyundai Equus is a fine automobile.
