The best Bloody Mary I have ever had is Longbranch - I just rim the glass with celery salt and add vodak and a slice of lime.
I love Zing Zang, and I can get it at BevMo. But if you want a truly special Bloody Mary Mix order from Hoosier Momma, makes a stellar Bloody Mary. Sure making it from scratch is better, but damn if these top shelf mixes aren’t as good (and consistent).
I live in Chicago and I just tried Stu’s Bloody mary Concentrate, Its fits right in with the balance of tart and spice that yo mention! you have to mix it with tomato juice but when you do its the best I’ve ever tried, We found them at DOSE market on illinois a month or so ago.
At least add an olive to your vodka martini.
Just try ordering a Bloody Mary in Canada–it’s next to impossible. Bartenders always think you meant a Bloody Caesar, and use clamato juice. As one who cannot drink Bloody Caesars, it means I must make my own Marys (or travel to the US, where a request for a Bloody Mary results in a Bloody Mary).
Do they not usually stock tomato juice in bars in Canada?
In the morning I need a little vitamin C, which the lemon twist provides. Olives are for more substantial meals.
