What makes Tom Brady such a great Quarterback?

Replace Tarkenton with Star and you got it pretty much right. And Rodgers will soon enter that top 10. Wish I could find the exact quote but Brady said that Aaron is playing QB better than anyone ever has.

Moss had an incredible year during the 17-0 run. I’d hardly call it depleted. He had what, 17 TD’s? That’s awesome for any wideout in any system with any QB tossing the rock.

Fair point but he wasn’t at his imperious best as he was in his first three seasons.

Fact is, Brady has never played with a true hall of famer other than Moss.

Many of us in this thread are contributing our subjective ideas. Myself included. I was very clear about that.

Not too many people thought Bill Walsh was a genius when he was head coach at Stanford in 1977.

Bart Starr, really? I rank him right up there with Trent Dilfer. Not really. Kind of.

My Niners were dumb to not draft Rodgers! Yes he will be in the top 10 when all is said and done.
No arguments for the Majik Man, Laggard?

It’s obviously really hard to compare Rodgers with guys like Brady and Manning, let alone Montana, because Rodgers is younger and hasn’t had his inevitable statistical decline that will bring his numbers down in the end. But if Rodgers were somehow to sustain his production so far for, say, another 10 years, I think he’d finish as the consensus GOAT and no one else would be close. Aaron Rodgers has been really, really, really good.

Walsh was 17-7 with 2 bowl game wins at Stanford. Far better than what Belichick had at Cleveland, although the mid season announcement of the Browns moving hurt the Browns.
