I understand that there are rough seas, but it’s really wallowing. Is it stuck on something?
According to this a big wave smashed the windows on the bridge and knocked out the control systems. So, the ship was at the mercy of the cyclone it was in and got one helluva ride.
With no way on a ship will turn across the waves and wind. there is a lot of energy in a wave.
It looked to be rolling one way in the range of 30 degrees and about 20 the other no bad for a ship dead in the water.
Not sure how water in the bridge would shut down the main engines.
Yeah, that kind of ship is effectively flotsom if the engines give out. If it was underway it could weather those waves with very little trouble.
