What movie/show was this? (trapped underwater with a surface like glass)

Clicking through sets the time to 53 minutes, 10 seconds - at least on the Firefox clone (Pale Moon) that I’m using.

Strange, it didn’t work the first two times I clicked it, and the third time it did. Sorry for the unnecessary post!

I watched the whole movie and it was as terrible as I imagined! Most of it seemed only vaguely familiar, and obviously didn’t leave much of an impact. That one scene definitely hit home, though.

I’ve gotta say, this really made my day. I have a fair number of memories from that age and before, but the problem is that they’re almost completely unverifiable. There are so many ways this can happen:

  • an event might not even be witnessed or recorded by anything
  • the details in my memory might have been filled in by looking at photos or other recordings
  • my memory might also have been corrupted by other people’s memories (especially for significant events that get talked about later on)
  • my brain might be conflating several different memories

So there’s essentially no one, specific thing from that time that I can definitely say that I remembered accurately. Except this! I had to have been 6 when I saw it, since it was only many years later that it came out on video. I got almost all the details right (I thought the boy was older than he was, but that’s not unexpected: when you’re 6, everyone seems old). There was even the Star Wars connection that I didn’t mention in the OP, and the title is so obscure that there’s essentially zero chance that the memory is from someone else.

This kind of thing must be incredibly rare, especially these days with digital media and ubiquitous recording devices.
