Ah, Large Marge… I can’t think of how many times I hit slow on the ol’ remote control just to take in the beauty of the claymation…
Holy crap, you ain’t kiddin’. We saw it a couple weekends ago as part of the Seattle International Film Festival. After the film, we couldn’t go home right away-- we very much wanted someplace bright, cheery, and full of other people. We found ourselves at Denny’s having a really early breakfast.
Dark Water, the newest(?) movie from the maker of The Ring wasn’t much better. Not quite as twisted (hah) as Uzumaki, but still quite a good scare.
my parents where possibly slack in letting me watch horror movies from a very young age, i remember watching the omen when i was 10 and not really being frightened, so for the most part i have been desensitised to films that are meant to scare.
then i watched …‘Seven’ in my early 20’s … it scared the crap out of me, i had nightmares for two weeks straight.
Towering Inferno - not the fire, the falling
Marooned, which came out when I was about 7 or so. I had bad dreams about falling from great heights into infinite emptiness for a while after that. shudders
I thought I was the only person in the world to have seen this movie. I watched it when I was around 7 or 8. My brothers let me watch an all night horror movie marathon with them and they both fell asleep leaving me to watch this movie alone. To this day if I find myself in a dark room I get the feeling one of those little gnome things is scurrying accross floor to get me. Even now, I avoid taking a shower at night, when I do I have to have an alternate source of light such as candles or a flashlight available, just in case the little monsters find a way to cut the power.
It’s good to know I’m not the only one who was haunted by that movie.
