Psychiatrist != psychologist.
Psychiatrists are medical doctors, so they are going to be subject to at least the same regulations that other doctors are.
Very few psychiatrists (or clinical psychologists) use Freudian psychoanalysis any more. Most psychiatric treatment uses drugs.
